Concordia’s solar panels use light energy that comes from the sun to generate electricity through the photovoltaic effect. The photons from the sun's light knock electrons free from the atoms of the material in the solar panels, allowing the electrons to flow in the form of an electric current. The solar panels can be seen on the 6th floor of the high school building.
